Key focus of this role will be to transition an ISO9001 accredited QMS to the new 2015 version, driving through working level disciplines and controls into the manufacturing arena, while leading the drive for Continuous Improvement, with a focus on proactive deployment of quality and use of tools in addressing Cost of Non-Conformance as part of the journey towards becoming a Lean Enterprise.
Activities will include: • Review, update and implementation of QMS documents, procedures and work instruction. • Product verification - establish an effective operator controlled inspection; incoming material inspection. Assist in the development of test plans to proactively verify products and process changes. • NPI/Change Control – ensure an effective rollout of new products and product changes. • Customer Returns –assist with root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective Action & Preventive Action) system. • Champion Continuous Improvement activities in the facility. Assist in the coordination and training of facility LEAN initiatives. • Evaluates work flow and cell design, and recommends improvements to enhance productivity and safety. • Coordinate and facilitate accreditation audits along with planning/performing internal audits. • Customer support activities, audits and questionnaires.
We are looking for an individual prepared for future growth. This candidate is ambitious and shows effective evidence of the following: • Has worked within a technical environment for at least 3 years and be familiar with the requirements of either; ISO9000, AS9100 or ISO13485 along with preparing documents as part of the QMS. Additionally they will have been trained in LEAN / Six-Sigma and show active participation leading team events. • Minimum of a 4-year degree in an engineering discipline. • Proven ability with customer focus/interaction. • Familiar with Quality /LEAN / Six-Sigma tools and methodologies. • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams. • Good communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills. • Attention to detail with excellent analytical and spread sheet skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
