BergerABAM’s Portland, OR office is recruiting for an experienced Transportation Project Manager to promote and lead medium to large scale public works and transportation projects. The Transportation PM has experience managing project teams to plan, and subsequently prepare construction documents for freeways, highways, streets and other local public works infrastructure in accordance with ODOT, WSDOT and local agency (City and County) guidelines and standards.
The Transportation PM role also requires technical design background in at least one of the following areas: transportation planning and design, highway design, drainage design, traffic engineering, as well as familiarity with AASHTO and MUTCD standards and permitting processes. Substantial working knowledge of other technical disciplines, including construction, related to transportation project is desirable.
The Transportation PM will coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, and organization of engineers and designers to produce project deliverables. The project manager is responsible for all phases of business development effort ranging from project identification, research, proposal writing, attend interviews with public sector clients, client development and maintenance.
10 - 15 years of experience
P.E. license (Oregon and Washington)
Proven business development track record
Must be familiar with ODOT as well as Oregon and Southwest Washington area public agency clients
