Wetland Services is a full service restoration and consulting firm serving Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky. We are currently seeking an AutoCAD/Carlson Technician in our Henderson, KY office. The successful applicant will be able to create surface models, design on those surfaces, produce drawings and cut/fill balances, and convert the designs into GPS files for layout or machine controlled construction. Wetland Services offers our clients a full range of services including remote sensing, wetland delineation, stream assessment, aquatic bio assessment, T&E surveys, 401/404 permitting, mitigation, monitoring and maintenance, as well as periodic presentations at conferences.
The minimum requirements are a solid working knowledge of the software, with a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering being preferred.
Secondary skills include: Familiarity with Natural Stream Design concepts. Experience using survey equipment such as RTK GPS, Total Station or Lasers. Experience with layout, construction or construction oversight. Familiarity with Natural Resources such as stream, wetlands, soils, hydrology & vegetation. Knowledge of the Army Corps of Engineers 404 program.
The successful applicant will have good communication skills and initiative while being able to follow concise instruction. Attention to detail is critical as is a positive attitude and work ethic.
This job requires periodic out-of-town travel or long day trips into remote areas. It requires the physical ability to traverse difficult terrain on foot, boat, ATV, 4X4, etc., and navigate by aerial photos & quad maps.
