JOB OVERVIEW: This role is a key part of daily QA/QC operations, including product safety and risk assessment. The QA/QC Associate is responsible for product compliance test report review and approval and will be the primary point of contact with the vendor community to provide feedback for factory audits, dispositions to shipment inspections and provide answers to questions regarding test protocols.
Review and assess test reports. Communicate results and provide to vendor feedback and direction for rejected reports.
Review and assess incoming shipment inspection reports; provide to vendor corrective action for any failures.
Act as primary point of contact for vendor community for technical questions regarding protocols and testing standards.
Assist in the development and revision of test protocols and standards and other quality documentation as new product lines are introduced and regulatory requirements change.
Work with organization members to audit, identify quality problems, and improve operational processes.

Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science; ASQ certification a plus.
3 – 5 years experience in quality engineering and quality control operations.
Solid understanding of basic quality assurance and quality control operations as well as regulatory compliance protocols such as ASTM F-963, 16 CFR, 21 CFR, CPSIA, CA Prop 65, FMEA, AQL, SPC and CAP, etc. Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to work in an ever changing environment.
Good esthetic sense; hands on and ready to learn;

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
