We are currently searching for a professional engineer or technically oriented individual to provide leadership and staff support to our Committee on Technical Advancement (CTA) and its technical divisions and committees.
Identifying and initiating new activities to advance the mission of CTA and ASCE and ensures the proper and timely completion of all CTA activities.
Developing products and services including Committee Reports, Manuals of Practice, Journals, Conference Proceedings, webinars, workshops, and specialty conferences
Constructing and monitoring a realistic annual budget
Coordinating logistical arrangements for all committee meetings and conference calls
Preparing agendas, minutes, monthly reports and MOU’s
Managing website content and updates
Assisting with the planning and implementation of technical/educational sessions, workshops, training sessions, and/or exposition displays
Assists the Conferences and Meeting Services (CMS) department with the implementation of Technical Councils and Technical Divisions Specialty Conferences specifically by ensuring that the technical program is developed in a timely manner;
Promoting CTA activities in appropriate publications
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (preferred) or a related field
Master’s degree in engineering, business administration or related field preferred
At least 10 years’ experience as a practicing civil engineer (preferred) or experience in association management
PE registration and/or CAE certification is a plus
Demonstrated success managing staff, volunteers and programs
