A national claims and engineering services company seeks a Civil Engineer with Maryland PE license. This is NOT an internship.

Job Duties: The Civil Engineer perform surety bond, property & casualty, and construction defect insurance claims investigations for insurance carrier clients. While a percentage of claims investigation work will relate to structural engineering, proficiency in other civil engineering branches such as soils, drainage, as well as significant experience in vertical construction is highly desired. .
This Civil Engineer requires a business development component including acquiring new clients and presentations, including regular contact with existing and prospective clients,
Investigate residential and commercial sites to determine the cause and origin of structural failures, damages, or defects; must be “hands on”.
Investigate incomplete commercial and industrial projects to determine status of completion and recommended processes and procedures to address deficiencies.
Prepare “Repair and Cost to Complete” estimates.
Develop technical project proposals, presentations, and detailed budgets, and
MUST HAVE Active Professional Engineering (PE) license in MD REQUIRED.
BA/ BS degree in Civil or Structural from an accredited university.
MUST HAVE 7+ years experience engineering and investigation experience.
Strong project management, data interpretation, and technical writing skills.
Must be willing to conduct BD (business development )/ account management/ sales duties along with job.
