Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, urban, regional or transportation planning, or a closely related field; plus four years of experience related to transportation planning.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
Strong background in land use and transportation planning. Professional license in engineering or planning. Ideal candidate will have experience in: evaluating transportation network impacts of land use proposals, negotiation skills, coordinating with local, state, and federal government organizations; working with the public and officials on transportation issues; GIS and traffic impact analysis, strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects and assignments and establish priorities, and ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
Work is generally sedentary. However, employee may be required to do some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items under 25 pounds in weight. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
