Craftsmen Industries is the leading builder of mobile marketing vehicles, exhibits and displays in the United States. Founded in St. Louis by Joe Helmsing in 1982, the company began with 10 employees in 1982. From the earliest days, the company repaired trailers and customized vehicles. In 1985, Craftsmen purchased the first computer driven vinyl cutting machine for vehicle decals to broaden th...e services offered to customers. In the early 1990’s, customers were calling on Craftsmen to customize their vehicles and apply eye-catching graphics to fleets of vehicles.
In 1993, Craftsmen moved to a larger facility outside of St. Louis in St. Charles, MO. The company built a new facility in January 2000, also in St. Charles, which is the company’s current residence and occupies nearly 127,000 square feet.
To accommodate for the demand of vehicle graphics, Craftsmen added a high end printer called the TurboJet in 2007. The TurboJet increased capacity, allowing Craftsmen to compete more effectively in the fleet graphics market and provide our current customers with even better service. Craftsmen is a certified 3M Scotchprint Authorized Manufacturer, which means we utilize quality materials, certified installers and approved equipment on our graphic projects. Craftsmen prints over two million square feet of full color graphics a year.
Craftsmen continues to grow and strengthen, reaching into new markets, including government, industrial, agricultural, energy, and business-to-business. Today we have approximately 150 employees.
