Under general direction of the Traffic Engineer, the Assistant Traffic Engineer performs complex traffic/transportation planning design and project management; plans, monitors and controls the design and analysis of complex traffic/ transportation engineering studies, projects, budgets and plan development; makes presentations and represents the City on complex traffic/transportation engineering reviews.

This position is for a licensed Professional Engineer requiring a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field with a minimum of 4-years recent experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
Must obtain State of Washington Professional Engineer’s license within one year.
A valid Professional Traffic Operations Engineering (P.T.O.E.) is desirable.
