Allied is seeking an Applications/Product Development Engineer at our Fort Collins, Colorado facility. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in semiconductor physical failure analysis sample preparation. He/she will utilize their understanding of sample preparation techniques as a member of an application and engineering team chartered to develop advanced applications and technology on the X-Prep product line. The X-Prep is used to prepare samples for electrical fault isolation techniques such as Photon/Laser, FIB and SEM based systems used for electrical and physical failure analysis.
Analysis of customer demo samples, processing of data and report preparation.
Resource owner responsible for equipment upkeep.
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and sales teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
Innovation in the use of sample preparation tools, equipment and methodologies to meet the preparation requirements of new/complex silicon or packaging designs.
Travel (domestic and international) to set up and train customers.
Candidates to be considered should have a minimum 5-years working in an F/A lab as an engineer.
A degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, however, an experienced technician will be strongly considered based on relevant work experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with customers, from operators to engineering managers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain (teach) sample preparation techniques to customers.
Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
High proficiency with MS office programs.
Valid US passport.
Participate in and/or lead activities that promote continuous improvement.
A self-starter, organized and team-oriented.
