Ontario A/E office is seeking a Civil Engineer/Project Manager with BSCE and must be licensed and registered CA Engineer. Candidate must have seven years experience and progressing responsibility as a professional engineer.
We are searching for a Civil Engineer licensed in California, with expertise and experience in the design of roadways, storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water for public works projects and various land development projects including residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial developments.
Candidates must have 5+ years of design experience with progressing responsibility. Experience desired includes project management involving the development of design plans, specifications, feasibility reports, construction administration, utility relocation coordination, cost estimating, geotechnical coordination and basic knowledge of survey data collection, land rights, and regulatory permitting.

Applicant shall have in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in the technical areas described above. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and have at least 3 years of project management experience with progressing responsibilities and ability to provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues with less experience, review and check work products of staff, and distribute work and resources based upon ability and need.
Requires project management experience, including the development of project proposals, scopes, budgets and the successful execution and tracking of engineering projects for the areas described above. Projects may include but are not limited to:
Roadway design including geometrics, typical section, and plan/profiles
Surface modeling in AutoCAD Civil 3D and earthwork volume calculations is desired
Capacity and Hydraulic analysis of subsurface systems and detention pond routing
Utility and R/W relocation protocol and coordination
Plan approval process and permitting coordination
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including word, excel, project, outlook, etc.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is desired).
Experience and ability to prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP) utilizing the current governing agency templates for various land development projects.
Excellent in oral and written communication, internally and public. Candidate will need to have the skills to communicate clearly with clients and associates, and provide clear direction to project team members. Must also be able to present project progress to clients and associates in a clear and concise manner.
Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations.
Monitors and controls costs within own work. Solves moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
Manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities in own area. Explains difficult issues and works to establish consensus.
