The system test group is a new cross functional team made up of various engineering, chemistry and physics backgrounds. The groups primary function is to own the system level verification testing of any new INFICON product and to aid the marketing and operation departments in root cause analysis of non-compliant products, and to develop lasting resolutions. The group members also participate in the concept phase of new product developments.
The candidate will apply diverse skills and experiences to triage issues in a wide range of INFICON's gas analysis products. This includes the ability to systematically reproduce, diagnose, and characterize failure mechanisms of product hardware and software issues related to instrumentation for chemical analysis. Because issues can be mechanical, electrical, or software in origin, the candidate is expected to seek out assistance from the appropriate INFICON Scientists and engineers of all disciplines, and to communicate well with the marketing and operations departments. The candidate need not be an expert in all fields, but be able to learn quickly from subject matter experts as needed.
The candidate will have to take ownership of issues and facilitate their resolution. Continuous improvement will result from addressing issues systematically by developing processes, ongoing documentation, and facilitating transferring knowledge across functional departments.

Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field required. 3-5 years experience in the design of analog circuits, system control circuits, RF system design, or power supply design.
Must have software programming experience for running experiments and tests (e.g. LabVIEW).
Must be able to work well in cross-functional teams and have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a positive attitude and interaction with the internal team and customers. Must be highly organized in order to manage multiple topics in parallel and self-starting.
Project management experience is a plus.
