The Civil Engineering Design Lead will be responsible for maintaining client relationships through the successful management of projects and/or leading design efforts on a project. The Civil Engineering Design Lead on a project will oversee staff and project engineers conducting a wide variety of engineering tasks including conceptual designs, engineering reports/studies, detailed designs including drawings and specifications, and cost estimates.
Coordinate and oversee the preparation of project design submittals for permitting, bidding, and/or construction. Responsible for being a Civil Designer of Record.
Work will include managing design teams and developing junior civil engineering staff.
Support client/business development and prepare/support proposals to support base line engineering workload.
Coordinate and oversee execution of engineering field work on specific projects.
Coordinate and oversee construction inspection services and/or construction phase services, as required. Responsible for conducting the construction inspection services and/or construction phase services for the civil engineering discipline.
Review of civil engineering work prepared by other civil engineering staff.
Fluently communicate to clients and present technical information.
B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering required.
Professional Registration required, preferably in Massachusetts.
A minimum 10 years of engineering experience in planning, design, and construction phase services associated with horizontal and vertical construction.
A minimum of 5 years experience managing teams.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
