Project Manager for Asian Activities for thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (USA), Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. Duties include: meet with customers, suppliers, project team members to develop and discuss process, technical, and commercial aspects of cement plant and mill equipment proposals and projects; develop Asian suppliers of equipment and plate work and structural steel, including suggesting vendors, visiting facilities, and procuring and reviewing vendor proposals; track progress and expedite Asian vendors for the submittal of contractually required documents and drawings, the completion of fabrication per contract schedules, and the on-time delivery of purchase order deliverables; confirm order acceptance, document submittal schedule commitments, and manufacturing schedule for compliance with contract schedule and purchase order requirements; proactively report to project team members and stakeholders the status of documents, drawings, and manufacturing as related to contract schedules; 50% travel, principally international with some domestic, up to several continuous weeks per trip.
Req’s: Bachelor Degree in Civil, Cement, Chemical, Ceramic, or Material Engineering, or foreign equivalent. 10 years of experience in a cement-related project management or engineering position. 5 years of experience with each of the following: developing cement processing equipment-related project proposals and executing cement-related projects, including all associated vendor estimates and orders for engineering and fabrication activities, including all required cement mills, kilns and clinker coolers, plate work and structural steel, cement factory automation systems, and grinding equipment; developing detailed customer proposals for cement processing equipment-related projects, including negotiating and clarifying contractual terms and issues with high-level client and vendor representatives, performing pricing calculations, and executing contracts; preparing engineering and equipment specifications, as well as design calculations, for cement processing equipment-related projects, including evaluating vendor offers and technical bids; performing market analyses and sales strategy and planning for cement processing equipment-related projects; managing the sale of cement-related large-scale equipment packages, slag grinding roller mills, and laboratory automation systems.
