This is a great opportunity for an entry level Traffic Engineer to work with a dynamic team on complex transportation projects. What will you be doing?
Working as part of a team as well as independently in learning, evaluating, and applying Traffic Engineering principles, standards, and criteria.
Assisting in conducting studies, field reviews and site investigations.
Assisting in preparing traffic operations analysis, traffic signal timing plans, traffic impact analyses and transportation planning studies.
Utilizing various modeling tools for traffic analysis (Synchro, VISSIM) for a variety of conditions and needs at intersections, along arterial corridors, and freeway segments.
Assisting in performing road safety assessments, transportation corridor studies, traffic signal warrant studies, speed studies and safety analyses
Assisting in designing work zone traffic control plans, traffic signal design plans and sign and marking design plans
Developing reports and supporting documentation
Performing other duties as assigned
What are we looking for?
A candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in relevant discipline. Master’s degree preferred with an emphasis in Traffic but not required.
The candidate must possess desire to work in Traffic performing analysis and modeling.
A candidate with zero to two years of relevant engineering experience.
A candidate with proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
A candidate proficient in Vissim and Synrcho experience is preferred.
