Job Brief

Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Risk Management, the Principal analyst will represent Strategic Risk Management with other analysts and executives throughout the enterprise.  The analyst will support the Senior Director of Strategic Risk Management in identifying strategic risks throughout the enterprise and assist in developing mitigation strategies for those risks. The position will assess long-term strategic planning; determine the policies of the organization; allocate its resources and make decisions regarding organization growth and diversification to accomplish the organization's vision; identify, manage and report on the corporate risks including financial, insurance, operational, project, market, and regulatory risk.

Job Responsibilities

•  Interfacing with Executive leadership, serving as a strategic risk advisor and maintaining strict confidentiality of key risks.  
  •    Facilitating the identification of enterprise risks throughout the organization and developing risk management responses.  
  •    Characterizing potential risks and assessing vulnerability of critical assets to specific risks.
  •    Monitoring internal and external strategic risks to ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress.
  •    Performing risk analysis and modeling to assess probability of specific risks occurring and evaluating/valuing the impact/consequences of occurrence.
  •    Delivering risk-related initiatives with focused project management capability.
  •    Fostering relationships at appropriate levels.
  •    Developing processes and procedures to report on, management and mitigate risks to acceptable levels.
  •    Reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  •    Individual contributor with responsibility in a professional or technical discipline or specialty, but may manage two or fewer employees.
  •    May direct the work of other professions or manage processes and program.
  •    Majority of time is spent overseeing the design implementation or delivery of processes programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education (3 to 4-year University degree).
  •    Managing large projects or processes that can be difficult and often complex, with limited oversight.

Education

Completion of a Master’s Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Experience

10 years professional experience in related field.
