Under direct supervision of the Transportation System Management & Operations (TSMO)Director, will provide management to the Operational Traffic & Safety Group. Will promote an enhanced safety culture within the department as well as coordinating safety activities with  transportation safety stakeholders within the state of Arizona. Position is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing various safety plans by federal legislation, including development and implementation of the Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) and Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) for the department, as well as tracking safety performance measures to achieve established goals.
