Under direct supervision of the Transportation System Management & Operations (TSMO) Director, will provide management to the Operational Traffic & Safety Group. Will promote an enhanced safety culture within the department and coordinates safety activities with other transportation safety stakeholders within the state of Arizona. Position is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing various safety plans by federal legislation, including development and implementation of the Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) and Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) for the department as well as track safety performance measures to achieve established goals.
