The City of Pasadena is approximately ten miles northeast of downtown L.A. at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, with a residential population of 144,000 and a daytime population of 250,000. Pasadena Water & Power Department (PWP) is a community-owned utility supplying water and electricity to Pasadena and nearby areas. The General Manager (GM) reports to the City Manager and is supported by 430 employees and a FY2025 budget exceeding $340 million.  The GM will drive the execution of an ambitious, multi-year work plan in progress, focusing on long term resource management and environmental protection while embracing aggressive environmental goals that reflect the values of Pasadena.
